How to change your acess (dialup) number and username:

If you do not have a new number yet, or to verify if your current number is valid. Please click here for your local dialup number. (If your current number is not listed, you will need to change to a number that is listed.) Please verify the number you are dialing is a local number! We are not responsible for any Long Distance (and local toll call) charges that may occur.

To change your access number and username, please choose your operating system:

Windows ME

Windows 2000

Windows XP

 

For Windows ME

1. Click on Start
2. Click on Settings
3. Click on Dialup Networking
4. Right click on your Knology icon for your connection (This connection may be named "Knology", "Internet", 'My Connection," or something similar.) Click Delete and then click Yes
5. Double-click the Make new connection icon
6. Type Knology in the blank and click Next
7. Type the new dial in phone number 334-503-1325 (Ozark / Daleville) and click Next
8. Click Finish
9. Right click on the new Knology icon, click on Properties
10. Remove the checkmark from Use area code and dialing properties and click OK
11. Double click the Knology icon
12. Type your username including @graceba.net in all lowercase letters (For example: jdoe@graceba.net)
13. Type your password (case sensitive) and check Save password if you wish
14. Click Connect (your username and password will not be successfully saved until you connect to Knology)

 

For Windows 2000

1. Click on Start
2. Click on Settings
3. Click on Network and Dialup Connections
4. Right click on your icon for your connection (This connection may be named "Knology", "Internet", 'My Connection," or something similar.) Click Delete and then click Yes
5. Double-click Make new connection
6. Click Next on the Network Connections Wizard screen
7. Select Dialup to Internet and click Next
8. In the Internet Connection Wizard select I want to set up my internet connection manually, or I want to connect through a local area network (LAN) and click Next
9. Select I connect through a phone line and a modem and click Next
10. Skip the area code blank and type the new dial-in phone number, 334-503-1325 (Ozark / Daleville).
11. Remove the checkmark from Use area code and dialing rules and click Next
12. Type your username including @graceba.net in all lowercase letters (For example: jdoe@graceba.net)
13. Type your password (case sensitive) and click Next
14. In Connection name: enter Knology and click Next
15. If it asks if you want to set up an internet mail account now click NO and click Next
16. Click Finish
17. Right click on the Knology icon
18. Click on Properties
19. Under the General tab make sure that Use dialing rules is not checked
20. Click on the Options tab
21. Check Prompt for name and password, certificate, etc.
22. Uncheck Include Windows logon domain
23. Check Prompt for phone number
24. Click OK
25. Right click on the Knology icon and select Create shortcut
26. Click Yes
27. Close the Network and Dialup Connections window Finish (please note: if you already had a Knology shortcut on your desktop, please remove the original shortcut)

 

For Windows XP

1. Click on Start
2. Click on Control Panel (you may have to click Settings before clicking on Control Panel)
3. Click on the icon for " Network and Internet Connections ". You may have to scroll down to find it, because the contents of the Control Panel are listed alphabetically by default. Once you click on the icon, a new window will appear. Category view click on Network and Internet Connections and then Network Connections
4. In Classic view click Network Connections
5. Right click on your Knology icon for your connection (This connection may be named "Knology", "Internet", 'My Connection," or something similar.)
6. Click Delete and then click Yes
7. On the left side of the screen click Create a new connection or double-click the Create a new connection icon
8. Click Next at the bottom of the New Connection Wizard screen
9. Select Connect to the Internet and click Next
10. Select Set up my connection manually and click Next
11. Select Connect using a dial-up modem and click Next
12. Type Knology in the blank and click Next
13. Type the new dial-in phone number, 334-503-1325 (Ozark / Daleville) and click Next.
14. Type your username including @graceba.net in all lowercase letters (For example: jdoe@graceba.net)
15. Type your password (case sensitive) in the Password: and in the Confirm password: blanks
16. Remove the checkmark from Turn on Internet Connection Firewall for this connection and click Next
17. Check the box Add a shortcut to this connection to my desktop and click Finish (please note: if you already had a Knology shortcut on your desktop, please remove the original shortcut)
